Sunrise over Teignmouth, acrylic, 120 x 62 cm This was a big landscape commission that I did at the end of last summer. It's the biggest painting I have ever done and also the most intimidating. Where do you start on a painting like this? I can tell you the sky and water was done first and then the foreground. I needed to get the balance right before attempting to paint the town. I certainly won't be rushing to paint another town any time soon. I hope you like it. Brett

Rogelach, oil, 28 x 21 cm This is another commission from earlier in the year. I was asked to paint Rogelach which I had never heard of before - its a traditional Jewish snack food. I was photographing them and hadn't tried them yet. I was getting very hungry and so took one from the leftovers. Wow! I was very surprised by how nice they were. I am not sure I can describe it, but there was definitely hints of cherry bakewell in there. I hope you like it. Brett
