Sunrise over Teignmouth, acrylic, 120 x 62 cm

This was a big landscape commission that I did at the end of last summer. It's the biggest painting I have ever done and also the most intimidating. Where do you start on a painting like this? I can tell you the sky and water was done first and then the foreground. I needed to get the balance right before attempting to paint the town. I certainly won't be rushing to paint another town any time soon.
