Egg & Soldiers – acrylic on board – 27cm x 19cm

This is a very small still life painting, working at such a small scale allowed me to take my time…….  Anything that is white is tricky to paint so that extra time on the egg and cup was put to good use to make sure it had real presence. As a child I used to love eating egg and soldiers for breakfast so this is my homage to a family favourite!
