Widecombe in the Moor is a very old historic village that is nestled right in the heart of the Moor. The Church House (next to the church) is thought to have been built around the same time as the Church Tower, c. 1540.

I really enjoyed painting this picture although it was challenging due to the very subtle tonal ranges and colours. It was one of those hazy early mornings that you get in late spring before the sun has got to work and burnt off the moisture
