This is my new painting of Hope Cove, this beautiful location is found in the South Hams in Devon. Hope Cove is a small seaside village and is located some 5 miles west of Salcombe and 5 miles south-west of Kingsbridge.

This painting is of Double Locks on the old Exeter shipping canal. Double Locks are the longest in the country, 95m long and 8m wide.

Widecombe in the Moor is a very old historic village that is nestled right in the heart of the Moor. The Church House (next to the church) is thought to have been built around the same time as the Church Tower, c. 1540.

I really enjoyed painting this picture although it was challenging due to the very subtle tonal ranges and colours. It was one of those hazy early mornings that you get in late spring before the sun has got to work and burnt off the moisture

Here is a new painting of Port Isaac down in Cornwall. It is very famous for being the location where the TV series Doc Martin was filmed. I believe it has been running for many years now and is still as popular as ever.
