New Studio for 2009

Happy 2009 everyone!!!

I have been a bit quiet on the painting front recently as I have been undertaking 4 months of DIY and moving house.  The DIY work just seemed to go on and on forever.

One of the major upsides of all this work is that I now have a beautiful new studio to work in. It has white walls and wooden flooring to make the most of any availible light, this is essential for an artist working in England.  The light quality remains pretty constant throughout the day so I can’t wait to get in there and start painting.

My next painting is of Salcombe in the South Hams of Devon ( you can see it on the easel ) It is another major piece of artwork as there are so many boats and houses that make up the town and it’s harbour. Anyone whose been to Salcombe knows it is pretty special, it always reminds me of being somewhere other than England.
